A courthouse researcher is someone who obtains information from the county public records. Sometimes this can be done via the internet but most of the time it must be done at the courthouse. It requires the ability to locate documents that may be stored in books, microfilm and computer. You may then need to copy the documents or gather certain facts and provide that information to the client via data entry into a website or software or faxing.
